Spring 2015: En Plein Air

Pantone Institute has chosen color trends for Spring-Summer 2015 and also the main color of 2015.
This time most of the colors are calm, soft and subtle. Like from the aquarelle study on the open air, observing beautiful scenery.

Marsala

Gorgeous and strong dark red wine color is the main trend and the foundation to Spring/Summer 2015 palette. It is natural warm and rich at the same time. Gives you calm confidence and can create sophisticated looks when paired with other contrast colors, for example with Classic Blue.

Good pairs:

Sandstone
Classic Blue

Aquamarine

This is the leading color for women Spring/Summer 2015 collections. Subtly fresh and dreamy. Tranquil and watered.

Good pairs:

Glacier Gray
Marsala

Scuba Blue

A blueish shade of turquoise: bright, young and bold. Full of fresh energy and excitement. I think that’s the color of an ocean in paradise.

Good pairs:

Classic Blue
Lucite Green

Lucite Green

Light and tender shade of green. It was not seen in fashion for quite some time, but everything comes around and it is it’s time again! Light and just with a little drop of minty freshness.

Good pairs:

Classic Blue
Scuba Blue

Classic Blue

Timeless and intense, this color stands out of lighter palette and serves as one of the principal tones, anchors in Spring/Summer colors. It is bright, deep and calm. Gives a strong and reliable feel of confidence and thoughtfulness.

Good pairs:

Sandstone
Marsala

Toasted Almond

One of the neutral tones in the palette to bring balance to brighter colors. Toasted Almond is comfortable and warm.

Good pairs:

Lavender Herb

Strawberry Ice

Delicate and cool tint of tender rose red color. It is the “pink” color of this spring, only more subtle and tasteful.

Good pairs:

Toasted Almond
Tangerine

Tangerine

Lively and juicy orange tone! Your source of energy and life force, casual and friendly.

Good pairs:

Toasted Almond

Custard

Delicious yellow tone. Relaxing, mellow and at the same time cheering color that can be a striking combination with it’s antipode Classic Blue.

Good pairs:

Classic Blue

Glacier Gray

Gray tones are mostly in men collections in 2015. But still it’s a very important neutral color: light and cool gray. Perfect for combining with any other color as a solid and neutral background. Or you can build your outfit around it and achieve a quietly peaceful and casual look.

Good pairs:

Dusk Blue
Treetop

Dusk Blue

One of the primary tones in men collections of 2015. It’s light sky blue color, subtle and timeless. More and more designers use such tender washed out colors in their collections to find some peace of mind and simplicity in the
restless modern world.

Good pairs:

Glacier Gray
Treetop

    Treetop

Another natural color, but this time deep and rich. Green is the most neutral among all colorful tones, in the middle between warm and cool shades. That’s why it is so harmonic and soothing.

    Good pairs:

    Glacier Gray
    Dusk Blue

    Woodbine

Warmer shade of green mixed up with a little of yellow. Organic and neutral, can be great to accentuate other colors it is used with.

    Good pairs:

    Lavender Herb
    Titanium

      Sandstone

One more neutral yellow shade, this time more earthly and full, with a subtle rose hint.

      Good pairs:

      Marsala
      Classic Blue

      Titanium

Powerful, futuristic and masculine color. Like all grays it is neutral, versatile and practical.

      Good pairs:

      Lavender Herb
      Woodbine

      Lavender Herb

Light and tender purple shade. Reminds of a last years rich Radiant Orchid color. But this time it is a new year and a new more subtle and natural trend. It may seem washed out and light, only until you combine it with any other color …

      Good pairs:

      Toasted Almond
